Bill,

You didn't reverse the blobs like in past seasons. I will let it slide this time.

Anybody surprised about Provorov's season so far?

I didn't think he'd look this good this quickly. Since the first 10 or so games of the season, it seems as if practically every time he's headed to the corner with an opponent he manages to have the better positioning to come away with the puck. For this win streak the Flyers are on, he's consistently been on the ice against opponents top lines, and the goals against have been overwhelmingly NOT from the teams top lines.

I'd agree. I haven't seen too many flyers games this season but from what i've seen he has made huge strides since junior.

I thought he would have been sent back because Flyers have many more D prospects they would use before him.

In response to the Provorov post.

I think we knew he had this potential, but didn't think it would click this early. Wait until his offense catches up

I was thinking that too, but knowing my luck he'll get dealt in 4 years. I might go for a guy locked up long term like Voracek.

I agree, but you never know. I keep telling people he's the future of our blue line.

for as long as they have needed a stud dman and the price they paid for one recently (Pronger) I just can't see them letting Provorov go. He would have to fall off a cliff

I think when his entry level contract is up they are going to skip the bridge deal with him and lock him up long term.

I hope they do that anyway.

There is a great video of Sam Morin in a fight last night.
He rag dolled the guy.

Keep the streak going!! I'd like to see MDZ in, but I wouldn't scratch Ghost. I really think Streit could use a game off, this condensed schedule is no friend to 39 year old legs.

Not really. Scouts have been raving about his ability to think the game for years and when you add that to an NHL build and high level skills, you get a top pair Dman.

Del Zotto just looks like a shell of himself. Prior to his injury last season he showed glimpses of showing a solid 2-way game. Now it looks like he took a no skill pill.

Good point on the schedule and Streit's age. Guy still has a nice shot.

Completely agree. His age is definitely showing. Give him a day off this weekend
